#HackAgainstHunger is an effort by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) to identify and support innovative solutions to address challenges around food and agriculture, to ensure food security, decrease malnutrition or prevent famine. These hackathons are competitions.
During these hackathons, participants are given tools and operational support from innovation experts and entrepreneurs and given access to international organizations' datasets.

#HackAgainstHunger/Kigali happened February 16–17 2018 in Kigali, Rwanda.
#HackAgainstHunger/Caribbean included two events that take place simultaneously in Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago February 17–18.
#HackAgainstHunger/Geneva took place on March 18–19 at the ITU Headquarters in Geneva during the WSIS Forum 2018.
Awards for the best projects were announced today in Geneva, but have not yet been announced on the #HackAgainstHunger web site.
