The project has had a lot of work done on it already. It is built off of a React/Redux/Firebase/Node stack. At this meeting, we will formally introduce this project. Wednesday, May 8, Checkin 5:30, hack starts at 6–9 pm. Code For PDX BiWeekly Hack Night. "Let's meet and contribute to community technology... All skill levels and disciplines welcome!" At Uncorked Studios, 811 SE Stark St #300. Arrive and check in to get your table assignment. "When you first arrive, please look out for someone from Code For PDX who will be checking people in. If you already know which project you want to work on and have been to a meeting before, you will be checked in by name and sent to the correct table. If you are a newcomer or aren't sure which project you want to work on yet, you will be sent to the initiation area, where we will get you connected on Slack and Meetup and have information about each project to browse through. Thursday, May 9: Portland Accessibility and User Experience Meetup. Learn hands-on (or hands-free) with assistive technology at Community Vision's AT Lab. Sign up at the MeetUp page. The Community Vision Assistive Technology (AT) Lab is a collaborative education and resource center that is open to the public. The Lab demonstrates a wide variety of AT, from Braille readers and browser extensions to voice-controlled lights and adaptive video game controllers. Community Vision will be hosting for the night to learn about these tools and explore them firsthand.
